1. Cape Horn Loop Hike

The 7.1-mile loop of the Cape Horn Trail is absolutely breathtaking. Your walk will be filled with colorful wildflowers between magnificent trees. Choose your trail difficulty based on the markers or travel through its entirety to reach the Nancy Russell Overlook for stunning views of the Columbia River below. Here, you can rest on the stone walls as you take in its beauty.

2. Panther Creek Falls

One of our favorite Columbia River Gorge hikes is just 20 minutes away from Carson Ridge Luxury Cabins! Panther Creek Falls is an easy, 1/4 mile hike that will lead you to down the hill to the gorgeous waterfalls. Revel at their beauty on the viewing platform or travel further down the trail to access the bottom of the falls for the ultimate view.

3. Catherine Creek Hike

On the Washington side of the Gorge, you will discover one of our favorite Columbia River Gorge hikes. Catherine Creek Hike features marvelous basalt formations, canyons, and views of Mount Hood. It is perfect for a leisurely stroll because the pathway is paved! The series of trails found here will bring you past a rock arch, bubbling creek, and gorgeous wildflower fields that are in bloom from March to May.

4. Beacon Rock State Park

If you’re looking for Columbia River Gorge hikes with a view, we recommend Beacon Rock State Park. You will travel to new heights as you scale the mile-long trail of cement walkways and staircases up the basalt volcanic plug. You’ll see beautiful views on your way up, but nothing will compare to the amazing sights you’ll see once you reach the top!

5. Falls Creek Falls

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest when you hike Falls Creek Falls. Walk the easy 2-mile trail as you follow the creek; the sounds of rushing water pulls you towards your destination. Trek through bright green mossy rocks, lush vegetation, and breathtaking views from suspension bridges until you reach the falls. Several small streams of bubbling water rush over a variety of rocks high above until they meet in the middle for an awe-inspiring 335-foot cascade.
