It’s a bird— it’s a plane— no, it’s the WAAAM Museum! The Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum is a mecca of aviation and automobile relics. With one of the largest collections of still-flying antique airplanes and still-driving antique automobiles in the United States, you could spend hours learning about the history of these vehicles.
The Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum is filled to the brim with incredible antiques. Not only do you get to see full historic aircrafts and automobiles, but there is also an extensive collection of other transportation-related relics. The goal of this nonprofit organization is to preserve these vehicles and teach visitors about their past.
You could spend hours exploring the 3.5 acres of indoor hanger space that houses the WAAAM Museum. We recommend carving out at least an hour or two of your day to get a taste of these artifacts. If have a strong love for historic modes of transportation, you could easily spend the entire day gazing in awe of these masterpieces.
Admission is $16 for adults and $14 for seniors and veterans. If you would like to visit the museum more than once, consider getting a membership. Memberships vary in cost but get you free admission into the museum.
The WAAAM Museum is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is only closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
There are many events at the WAAAM Museum throughout the year. You can see some of the historic cars and planes in action as they are driven around by volunteers every second Saturday of the month from 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Once the hanger doors are open, the motorcycles, cars, and planes are fired up and driven around the property.
