What to Do at Maryhill State Park
Countless Outdoor Recreation Opportunities
Maryhill State Park is located right on the Columbia River, so there are plenty of opportunities both on and off the water. During the warmer months, you can see countless people taking advantage of the riverbank for paddleboarding, windsurfing, and more. Several visitors will even take a swim in the river or hop on wave runners and skate along the water!
Many also come here to bike and hike through the wilderness. This state park is known for its unique beauty, so it has become a well-known spot for everyone from leisurely walkers to seasoned adventurers.
Pack a Picnic
One of our favorite things to do at Maryhill State Park is pack a picnic. It’s always relaxing to eat by the riverbank as you look out over the sparkling water. There are also picnic areas with tables and community grills for you to cook on! Between all your adventures, take the time to sit back and take in the views.
The Maryhill Museum of Art
The Maryhill Museum of Art is nothing like you have ever experienced before. The museum is separated into different galleries categorized by themes and artists. Here, you can see objects from the palaces of the Queen of Romania and an American Indian collection that represents nearly every tradition and style in North America.
Other special exhibitions are brought to the museum for a limited time. If you’re planning on going, you can always check which exhibits will be presented while you are there! Plus, this property is home to the Maryhill Stonehenge Memorial, a full-size, partial replica of the Stonehenge that serves as the nation’s first WWII memorial.
