History of the Reel Music Festival and NW Film Center
The Reel Music Festival was first formed by the NW Film Center over 30 years ago. The goal of this festival is to combine sounds and images as well as music and culture. The event explores the similarities and differences between these aspects to make something spectacular!
The NW Film Center was established in 1971 as a way to encourage the study and appreciation of moving image-related arts. They are now a sister to the Portland Art Museum and host many events, classes, and exhibitions to share art with the world including the Reel Music Festival.
