When is the Bridge of Gods Half Marathon?
The Bridge of Gods Half Marathon takes place every year towards the end of summer, usually in August. Runners keep cool under the summer sun by crossing multiple bridges and creeks and traveling under the shaded forest. It is capped at 2,000 runners, so registering ahead of time is always a good idea!
The Bridge of the Gods Half Marathon Course
Completely surrounded by breathtaking nature, runners find pure solace in the incredible course of the Bridge of Gods Half Marathon. The race will take you through majestic forests, over architectural gems, and among historic locks and sternwheelers. You’ll be treated to fresh air with occasional wafts of pine and wildflowers to clear your senses. Travel over the race’s namesake, the Bridge of Gods, and through forest trails before reaching town. Then, you’ll weave through the Marine Park and Thunder Island until you reach the finish line!
Celebrate at Thunder Island
Once you reach the finish line, it’s time to celebrate. Thunder Island transforms into a giant party to end the race off right. A bag check is offered at the start so your belongings will meet you at the end, and you can focus on reveling in your accomplishment. You will receive a catered lunch to regain the energy you just exerted, then enjoy a beer garden and live music! You can even get a massage right on site. Take part in the camaraderie with your fellow runners and meet up with family or friends that have been in the crowd to cheer you on.
