Hood River Hard-Pressed Cider Fest
April is a popular month to visit the Hood River and Carson area of the Columbia River Gorge. During this time of year, the spring is blossoming and the warm weather and cool breezes are arriving gently. To celebrate the turn of weather and upcoming orchard seasons, the Hood River Hard-Pressed Cider Fest takes place. This premier selection of annual Hood River events features a variety of local cideries who source their apples, pears, and other fruits from the 440+ local orchards! This fun, seasonal event gives you a true taste of Hood River and features a vibrant food scene from local vendors and live music for entertainment.
Hood River Valley Blossom Time
Another great option of April Hood River events is Valley Blossom Time! Appreciating the arrival of spring, this month-long celebration welcomes a favorite season of the Gorge. The cherry, apple, and pear trees blossom in fabulous pink and white flowers. This April event includes farm events, craft shows, culinary treats, and wine and cider tasting. Enjoy the warm weather and beautiful blossoms along with these festivities! One of the best ways to enjoy this time of year is to drive along the Hood River County Fruit Loop, a scenic route that passes orchards, wineries, and farms within the valley. Make stops along the way for baked goods, fresh produce, preserves, and more!
Hood River Hops Fest

Seasonal celebrations are quite popular here in the Gorge, and one of our favorites is the Hood River Valley Harvest Fest in October. This 35+ year annual event is an old-fashioned fall festival that brings together over 125 vendors. At the festival, you will find local produce and fall foods, arts and crafts, wine, cider, beer, and more.
