We are both environmental biologists by profession, and have traveled across the globe for work and pleasure. Throughout our travels, we have seen and experienced many wonderful things. The one feature that made the biggest impression on us was the people we met and the hospitality bestowed upon us: warm and welcoming innkeepers, friendly staff that helped us navigate our way around, delicious local foods served steaming hot right out of the oven, and comfortable beds. Eventually these incredibly enriching experiences encouraged us to change careers and start our own bed and breakfast, giving us a chance to share our good fortune with other travelers.
Our first endeavor was in beautiful Vancouver, Canada, where we operated a small B&B for several years. We thoroughly enjoyed the guests we met, the location, and all the offerings of a large metropolitan city. Until, that is, we stumbled across Carson Ridge Luxury Cabins … on a very cold, wet and dreary February afternoon.
We were not on a mission to find a new bed and breakfast to own – we already had one. However, we simply fell in love with Carson Ridge as soon as we saw it: the private cabins were perfect and the location absolutely gorgeous. We knew if we could love a place this much on such a wet and dreary day, it would only get better (how true that was!). So, we set about acquiring it. Since, we’ve expanded the gardens, acquired additional acreage, built 3 new cabins, and organized a montage of on-site events, retreats, and specials that rival big-city offerings (see for yourself by viewing our 2011 calendar: http://www.carsonridgecabins.com/calendar-of-events.htm).
If you do decide to stay with us, we welcome the opportunity to meet you and share the warm hospitality we’ve received. We promise that you will love the cabins just as we did. However, if you love them so much that you wish to buy them, we cannot promise that we will let them go.
